Optimizing Performance in Photoshop /May 29, 2013 by Simon Abrams

Here's a quick little video from Photoshop Product Manager Zorana Gee on boosting Photoshop's performance. I never spotted that checkbox for not compressing .psd and .psb files - I think I'll have to enable that.

Tried my hand at birding with the awesome folks at the Audubon Society in @prospect_park. Sightings included a pine warbler, phoebe, robin, morning dove, cardinal (male and female), and a kingfisher. (Feel free to tell me if I got any of those wrong, internet people).

We saw some big game in South Africa, but I can’t forget about these guys. 🐧

Animal portraits! On most of my recent vacations, I’ve tried to limit the amount of photo gear I bring, choosing to shoot exclusively with my #fujifilmx100T and my iPhone. But since this trip included a safari, I lugged my #Canon7D and a super telephoto lens, and it was well worth it.

One of the highlights of our trip to South Africa was when we went paragliding off of Signal Hill. It was way less scary than I imagined, and the birds-eye (drones-eye?) view of Cape Town was spectacular. Thanks to my pilot Tinas for getting me safely back onto terra firma. . . . #paragliding #parapaxparagliding #capetown #actionsports
Still coming down off my vacation high. Here’s a few images from Cape Town, including Table Mountain and the “table cloth” (aka the clouds that often roll over its edge); hanging with @stephanierba in the Company’s Garden, and some of the brilliant colors of Bo-Kaap, a former townshjp and center of Cape Malay culture. #southafrica #capetown

Lucky to have seen four of the Big Five on our safari in South Africa. Next time, leopard! 🇿🇦

If you’re a city slicker like me, it’s hard to shoot while on horseback, especially when juggling slr and iPhone. Thanks for not throwing me, Maximus!

Spotted some paw prints on the road, and eventually came upon the males of the pride waiting patiently(ish) for the females to return from the hunt. More pics to come soon...🦁 .
